Using FP makes sizing multiple nozzles easier, as you can simply add and subtract the total FP size to reach the correct size for the pump in use. An example of this is that two 03 nozzles displace the same amount of water as one 06 nozzle.
You can use the formula provided on page 50 to work out the total FP required for your nozzle. Depending on the nozzle you are using, you can then decide how much of the machine’s flow you want working either forward, backwards or out the sides of your nozzle. You will often need to plug certain holes to assist the nozzle in rotating correctly or simply to reach the correct total FP.
As with a standard pressure cleaner, you will always make the nozzle size slightly smaller than the formula allows for. Of course, when using a long hose, this might need to be increased higher than the FP to compensate for back pressure.
